Penntrux is a bi-monthly magazine published by the Pennsylvania
Motor Truck Association and distributed to over 2000
readers. Each issue features stories about the trucking
industry throughout the Commonwealth. Among the features
throughout the pages of Penntrux is local, statewide
and nation news that affect the trucking industry. Most
importantly, several issues have focused on new regulations,
laws, tolls, highway advisories and any other important
information that would affect the way a business would
have to operate. Many issues highlight networking events
such as the Annual Truck Driving Championships, the
Annual Management Conference, Driver of the Month Program
and Statewide Chapter Events. Many companies also find
Penntrux valuable as a vehicle to advertise their products
and services that are of use to those in the trucking
industry.

What Is Pennsylvania Road Team?
Pennsylvania's Road Team is a small group of professional
truck drivers selected each year to represent the trucking
industry. Although still full-time drivers, they take
a few days each month, with the support from their
companies, to travel across the state to meet with
organizations
and schools to talk about highway safety and trucking
issues. Road Team members are selected on the right
combination of experience, a good driving record,
a professional
attitude, and the communication skills necessary to
present our message to the public.
What Can The Pennsylvania
Road Team Do For You?
Visit with the non-trucking public - high school
students in driver education classes, civic clubs,
business
groups and others - to talk about highway safety and "sharing
the road with a truck". They also speak about
the vital contributions trucking makes to local, state
and
national economy.
They can also visit with trucking
industry groups and representatives - trucking companies,
fellow drivers,
new drivers and students training to become professional
drivers - to encourage safety in our own backyard.
