PMTA offers organized state and federal Advocacy efforts to influence legislation that impacts the trucking industry, and delivers a strong American Trucking Association (ATA) Affiliation with single-point assistance to help members navigate interstate issues.

Lobbying

PMTA maintains a well-respected reputation on Capitol Hill, where we serve as the official representative of Pennsylvania's trucking industry. Legislators face thousands of bills every year and we make sure they understand how new laws affect our industry.

  • Our political action committee, TRUCKPAC, allows PMTA to influence, alter or defeat laws that negatively impact your businesses. Remember that we are able to fight the challenges and create solid working relationships with various state representatives because of our TRUCKPAC fund. To make a contribution to the TRUCKPAC, call 717-761-7122. State law prohibits the use of corporate funds for political action purposes.
