PMTA provides networking opportunities at the local, state and national levels through conferences, chapters and events allowing members to interact among industry peers. Many of these events include industry related speakers and workshops.

  • Annual Management Conference, PMTA’s 82nd , is May 13, 14 and 15, 2010, at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa in Bedford. Join your colleagues for a time of learning, networking, and relaxation. Register today.
  • Local Chapter Activities give members an opportunity to network with people in their geographical region. From family picnics and holiday gatherings to important industry and safety updates, the activities are a great way to connect with other PMTA members.
  • Pennsylvania Truck Driving Championships promote safe driving and foster a commitment to safety. Each year, more than 150 truck drivers compete in nine categories. They must complete a written examination, personal interview, pre-trip inspection test, and the field, or driving, test. This year’s championships are June 4 and 5 at Harrisburg Area Community College. To register, please complete this form.
  • Seminars offer updates, required continuing education, and important information for anyone working in the transportation industry. See our complete schedule.
  • Industry Committees give members the opportunity to get involved in numerous ways. Committees are Legislative, Member/Chapter Relations, and Safety/Carrier. Any PMTA member can be on any committee. Committees meet prior to each PMTA Board of Directors meeting. After lunch is the open board meeting.
