Pitt Ohio's Manager of Training & Development Honored by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association 

Pittsburgh, PA () - On Thursday, March 26 Dean Yockey was presented with the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) Gogolin Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to truck safety and continued efforts and contributions to the PMTA on behalf of PITT OHIO.



Teen Safe Driving Competition Teaches Safety Behind the Wheel

Phoenixville >> With up to $2,000 on the line, 26 high school students from across the five county area tested their skills behind the wheel Wednesday.
Students participated in the second annual Teen Safe Driving Competition at Technical College High School: Pickering Campus in Phoenixville. The competition is designed to emphasize the importance of safety among new drivers by testing their road abilities and knowledge. The first place prize winner received a $2,000 scholarship and will compete in the state finals for a chance at $10,000 May 12. The second and third place finishers received $1,000 and $500 in scholarships, respectively.

Bill Would Block Truck Safety Records From Public

Every single time a truck driver is cited for a safety violation - whether it's for ignoring basic safety maintenance of equipment, disregarding hours of service requirements or reckless driving - the citation is logged into a federal database and made available to the public.

Rep. Lou Barletta, (R-11th) wants to change that.




Teen Driving Winners Announced

Area high school students learned a lot about their driving skills today.  They participated in a driving competition sponsored by the Northwest Regional Highway Safety Network, the Pennsylvania Motor truck Association, and Con-Way Freight.
