PMTA Awards & Recognition
The overall success of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association comes from our dedicated and invested members. To honor those members, PMTA has several awards and recognitions, eligible to our members, that span all areas of the Trucking Industry.
J. Harold Summers Leadership Award
J. Harold Summers was a Past Chairman of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, and Past President of the Lancaster Chapter. He was a dedicated and tireless leader in his community and served many years as a Trustee for the PMTA. The recipient of this award must exemplify the qualities of leadership and service to their community and this association, exemplified by Mr. Summers in his daily life.

Driver of the Month Award
PMTA member companies are filled with drivers who go above and beyond every day to enusre safety, efficiency and excellence in the industry. PMTA chooses one driver each month to be named the Driver of the Month. And the end of the calendar year, all twelve Drivers of the Month are then evaluated and one is named the Driver of the Year at an annual awards dinner.
Fleet Safety Awards
How does your company rank? Complete an entry form by March 31 to be considered to receive a Fleet Safety Award!
PMTA's Fleet Safety Awards recognize motor carriers for the safe operation of their vehicles. Awards are based on miles traveled and number of accidents.
Reppert-Graybeal Volunteer Award
This award honors a PMTA member that is active with the PA Truck Driving Chamionships each year.
Drivers, safety professionals, trainers, operation personnel, managers, supervisors, etc. are all eligible, as long as they have volunteered and worked in any capacity for PA TDC and other TDCs.
Ed Gogolin Award
This award was developed in 1972 to recognize an
individual in the trucking industry who has an exceptional record of
contributions in safety. This individual must have demonstrated their
commitment to safety through their contributions and untiring dedication
to the field of safety.
