Roadcheck 2021 statistics

Operation Roadcheck was conducted on May 4-6, 2021.  More than 40,000 commercial vehicles were inspected.  Almost 21% of the vehicles were placed out of service and 5.5% of drivers were sidelined.  Brakes continue to be the most common out of service defect with tires coming in second.  The drivers were found to have Hours of Service violations as the most common out of service violation at 41.5% of the violations discovered.
