Included in your membership with the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association is the ability to join one of the top safety programs in the state, the Safety Management Council (SMC).
The SMC gives members of the trucking industry an opportunity to gain critical information needed to successfully and safely conduct business in a highly regulated industry. The meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month from September through May. Representatives from USDOT, PA PUC, PA DOT, OSHA and others present updates on various regulations, programs and other topics of interest.
The SMC is an opportunity to become directly involved in the issues affecting the trucking world. Being proactive will keep you and your company safe and compliant in a fast-paced environment.
The Safety Management Council is compromised of the following committees:
- Truck Driving Championships
- Industry & Public Relations
- Operations
- Recognition & Awards
As an active member of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, you pay NO ADDITIONAL FEE to join the SMC or serve on one of the committees.
