Security Awareness, First Observer

Provides transportation professionals with the knowledge needed to recognize suspicious activity possibly related to terrorism, guidance in assessing what they see, and a method for reporting those observations. What does “See Something, Say Something” mean and what actionable activities should you take. Study of previous attacks.

Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Awareness Training

Description of IED’s and materials used in IED’s. Description of Unattended vs Suspicious items. Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP’s) for what actions to take if found. Review and demonstration of realistic, replica devices used in attacks and previous attack review.

Security Enhancement Through Assessment (SETA)

Briefing on TSA’s new SETA program designed to assess transportation stakeholders vehicle inspection procedures and assessment of drivers effectiveness in carrying out the inspection. This program is assists agencies in evaluating current policies, procedures and training in regards to required pre, mid, and post-trip inspections at the operational level. It is a no-consequence learning environment for both the transportation company as well as frontline employees.

PMTA Refund Policy
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an event registration is 5 business days prior to the event.  No refunds will be awarded after the deadline or to registrants who choose not to attend an event. Event registrations are transferable to another registrant unless otherwise indicated on event materials. Refund and registration transfer requests must include the name of the event and registrant attendee name.  Requests will be accepted via phone, fax, or e-mail. Refund requests may be subject to an administrative fee as stated on registration materials.
